About the Department

Welcome to The Beauty College!

We are based at Callington Community College in Cornwall.  Established in 2006, we are one of the first schools to offer an NVQ in Beauty Therapy.  We are dedicated to providing excellent training for working in the beauty industry.  It is a rewarding career and with our modern facilities and the latest equipment, The Beauty College is an excellent place to begin your training. We deliver all of our NVQs at The Beauty College training facilities and our courses are accredited by City and Guilds.

Our NVQs form part of the options for sixth form choices.  Students are able to choose City and Guilds NVQ level 2 in Beauty Therapy as a full-time option in year 12. Students who complete level 2 can then progress to NVQ level 3 in year 13. Our courses are also available to students of all ages from the age of 16.

NVQ levels 2 and 3 will give students the skills to work as fully qualified Beauty Therapists.

NVQ level 1 is now available as an option in Year 11; this course is a good introduction to the Beauty Therapy industry and helps students to make informed decisions about their future. Students are able to start their career in Beauty at level 2.  It is not necessary to have completed level 1 in order to start level 2.
