The ASDAN Awards

The Asdan Awards progress through Bronze, Silver, Gold and University levels. Each Award will help the student to recognise personal achievements, manage their own learning, broaden their experiences and develop, evidence and assess the Key Skills (such as Working With Others, Problem Solving and Communication) that are highly valued by employers and will help you make the most of employment and training opportunities.

The students will work through a number of modules and record evidence in a personal portfolio.

Modules include:

  • Sport and Leisure
  • Health and Survival
  • The Environment
  • The World at Work
  • Expressive Arts
  • Beliefs and Values
  • Using Technology

The challenges in each module may be completed independently or as part of a group and the student is encouraged to research, discuss and present their ideas. Challenges can be completed at College, at home, at work or through visits to specific places; past groups have visited for examples Mount Edgecombe and Eden.
