The Department

At Callington College College we are committed to providing an education which equips our students for life

Combined Studies provide students with an opportunity to access a range of academic subjects taught in a small but focused group where the individual really does matter.

The team of staff involved meet weekly to ensure that all students are achieving their academic potential and their literacy is progressing.

Past students have developed into confident and forward thinking young adults who have a real goal in life and know what they want to achieve.

As we tend to have smaller classes teachers really do get to know their students and more importantly have the time to dedicate to them if they are experiencing any difficulty whether within Combined Studies or an option choice.

Subjects studied during the three year course have included English Language GCSE, Maths GCSE, Science GCSE, ALAN (Adult Literacy and Numeracy) Information Technology and Asdan.

Please read through the information about the present courses on offer and do not hesitate to contact any member of the Combined Studies Team.Paula Ramsden (Deputy Head) is also only too willing to discuss the ethos of Combined Studies and answer any questions you may have.

Combined Studies has been and continues to be a positive experience for all those involved - students and teachers alike.
