Extra Curricular and other opportunities

A general dance club runs every Wednesday for the whole acedemic year and is offered to all years in the school.

Callington Dance Company established in September 2007 runs every Tuesday and again is open to all years. There are limited spaces and students audition through taking part in a practical dance class. Auditions take place at the start of every term.

There are many performing opportunities throughout the year including termly shows and Callington Dance Festival which runs every November were schools across Devon and Cornwall are invited to take part. Students are encouraged to create work to show in assemblies and other school events.

There has been a focus on boys' dance over the last two years, which continues to develop.  Recently Callington boys have worked with lads from Looe Community School, Liskeard Community College and Launceston College.  Another group has also created and peformed a physical theatre piece at the College and at the Callington Family Fun Day.
