The class were given a tour of the facility, with particular emphasis placed upon the machinery and technologies employed in the manufacture of their products.
The group will now begin working on an improvement project with the company focused on a particular problem in the production process. This will contribute towards a unit of work the students need to complete for their AS qualification.
The students plan to present their work to Engineers from Ginsters and will continue to keep in touch and ask further questions by using Skype video conferencing software. Many thanks to the staff at Ginsters who gave up their time to make this visit so entertaining and relevant.
