In November 2011 the A level Geography group spent three days in Cornwall doing fieldwork for the January exam.
The group stayed in 4 star accommodation, cooking our own food and relaxing in the excellent Tor View Barn.
On the first day, we went down to the Eden Project and Watergate Bay, home of the Extreme Academy and Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Restaurant. We met the managing directors of Fifteen and spoke about the changes happening in the bay.
On day two, we had a visit to Carruan Farm owned by enthusiastic farmer Mike. The rest of the day was spent in Boscastle studying the river, evaluating the flood defences and interviewing people caught up in the flood.
On the final day the group looked at the changes to the Barbican and City Centre in Plymouth. There was also time for some shopping!
