Experience Life.  Study Geography!

"Geography explains the past, illuminates the present and prepares us for the future. What could be more  important than that?"   Michael Palin

Everyone should study geography.  It is the most important subject in the curriculum today!  Students studying the subject will be enjoying real life, up to date and modern issues that affect the world today.

For example, we study natural hazards like the Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina, look at the rise of global corporations such as NIKE and their impact on the world and use modern GPS and GIS mapping.

At the end of their time studying geography students will appreciate not only the amazing world that we live in but understand the key issues of sustainability and interdependence.  Thinking skills and independent learning are integrated throughout the course ensuring that the students who study geography have the attributes essential to life after school.

What current students studying GCSE Geography think.......

" Everything you learn is relevant to life."

"Geography is awesome!"

"Learn how the world works!"

" A great way to learn. I enjoyed learning about Volcanoes."

"Awesome course!!"

"The teachers are very helpful."
