The Department

The History Department at Callington College benefits from having four History specialists who teach in three well resourced rooms.  The Department is very experienced and this has made the subject a popular choice at GCSE, AS, A2 and International Baccalaureate.

The focus of our teaching is not only the historical detail but also the historical skills which are transferable to many other subjects and will also benefit students when they go into the work place, for example, the scrutiny of historical sources and the use of provenance.

The Department is passionate about the subject and we all enjoy making the subject interesting, relevant and accessible for all students of all abilities.
