Whenever possible, the Science department organises trips to places of interest, museums and exhibitions, to support topics studied in the curriculum.

Small Science, Big Ideas (July 2011)

Science students heard about the big impact of small science in a special talk entitled ‘Small Science, Big Ideas'. Dr Annela Seddon, a young researcher and lecturer from the University of Bristol‘s School of Physics, introduced the topics of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and spoke about her own cutting-edge research.  Read the full sotry here...

 

Year 8 Trip to Lulworth Cove, June 2011 - to look at geology and geomorphology

Limestone, chalk, clay, Purbeck stone and Greensand sedimentary rocks were all identified and studied.    Read the full story here...

 

GCSE Science Live Trip

Year 11 students got a taste of the real world of scientists on a trip to Bristol during October half term 2010.
