CHiiL Building nears completion

Communication Hub for International and Innovative Learning...

This exciting building project is nearing completion in the Summer Term of 2009.

Designed with the help of Callington students, the CHiiL incorporates a large, flexible learning and meeting space, a mezzanine floor equipped with computers, and a multimedia area that can be opened up to the main area or screened off for video conferencing and smaller projects.  A bank of laptop computers and high-quality printing facilities will be available for use by students and staff.

With it's arched roof, translucent, full-height windows and curved mezzanine floor, this is easily the most spectacular part of Callington Community College.

The opening of CHiiL facilities provides state of the art accommodation for Sixth Form students. The CHiiL is equipped to support students in their independent learning and represents an important stage in our development of outstanding 21st Century Sixth Form provision.
