Eleven students recently passed a brand new Football Association leadership course. The students, who had opted to take the course as part of their Sixth Form Enrichment Programme, had to lead football sessions, officiate in football and plan, prepare and deliver a football event. The students worked with the year 7 footballers and they learnt new skills and techniques through the sessions that were delivered by the sixth form students.
The course was delivered by Mr Hazeldine and Mr Yendell, who recently qualified as an FA Learning tutor, and the students gained a lot form the course. It allowed them to develop many personal leadership skills which will hopefully come in use in their future careers. The school now hope to continue to run this course through the new Sports and Dance Academy.
The College would like to congratulate all the students on their success on the course.
