The Head of Sixth Form at Callington Community College, Sally Humphries, was awarded her Masters in Education degree at Exeter University on Saturday 17th January. This was the final part of a three year programme which involved some extensive research and evaluation into staff development at Callington Community College.
Yet another example of Callington's philosophy of lifelong learning, for Sally:
"it was a great opportunity for me to really examine my own teaching in the light of new educational theories. It has had real benefits not only for me personally but also for the College. As a new Head of Sixth Form it has really given me a good ‘refresher course' in studying at degree level and is extremely helpful when I am working with students on research projects or university applications."
