Some students wrote and drew messages of peace onto pinwheels which were displayed in a peace sign in front of the College during their first break.
‘Peace One Day' was initiated by Jeremy Gilley, who documented through film, his quest for one day of peace. This international day is supported by the UN and many celebrities, and has had many successes over the years in reducing violence in conflict zones around the world.
Students from the College gave up their own time to celebrate the day and send messages of hope for a more peaceful future. We are now committed to the Global Truce Day next year.
