Sixth Form Leadership Day

As part of the Olympic Day the Year 12s took part in a Leadership Day

Students were supported by five members of staff and encouraged to explore ideas of leadership and project management.

For part of the day they had to develop a plan to improve the sixth form facilities within the existing space and consider how they could improve links with the rest of the college.  There were seven groups working on this and they all came up with unusual and interesting ideas. At the end of the day students presented their plans and the sixth form were given the opportunity to vote on their favourite option.

The ‘Tea Party Group' were chosen with ‘Sixth Form Regeneration' coming a close second. Many of the other ideas may well be made use of in the coming year.

Sally Humphries, Director of Sixth Form said ‘The projects were all of such excellent quality - Alan Sugar would not have been able to fire anyone!'
