December 1st 2011 was World Aids Day. At Callington Community College a pair of Year 11 students studying for their CVQ (Community Volunteering Qualification) helped to raise awareness in the College.
Harley Bateman and Michelle Gilbert organised a group of thirty Sixth Formers who dressed in red and collected donations for the cause.
Ms Kramer, Curriculum Leader in Citizenship and PSHEE, commented: "These two quiet girls took the initiative, organised students older than themselves and raised over £40 selling red ribbons. We are so proud of them!"
