The competition aims to encourage pupils to learn how the stock market and shares work.
Each team is given a virtual £100,000 to invest, and over six months have the chance to buy and sell, depending on how their portfolio is looking.
Ollie Daw, a member of Callington Team B, says:
Worldwide virtual trading challenge took place on Wednesday 30th September. We were accompanied by Mr.Rumson. The competition aims to develop skills in financial capability through virtual trading in stocks and shares. We were given £100,000 to invest in a portfolio of stocks and shares - the competition will run until March 2010.
The challenge is organised by Truro and Wadebridge based independent financial advisers, Worldwide Financial Planning and Cornwall Learning Education Business Partnership.
Updates can be found on the WWFP website.
Last year's challenge was won by a team from Bodmin College. We wish the Callington teams all the best for the 2009-2010 challenge.
