Over four weeks in the run up to the event, Year 8 were given the challenge to use geographical enquiry to find out about Climate Change, how it affects our planet and what solutions there are to the problem.
Tutor periods were spent with the students following their own independent line of enquiry focusing on the different elements of climate change.
On the day the students had three hours to complete a class display which incorporated all of their tutor group's ideas. The hall was set up with display boards and the whole year group set about producing some outstanding work. displays were judged by the students themselves, and the Head Teacher.
Well done to all of year eight and the staff involved in the day.
Further Independent Learning days are being planned, with each Department taking turns to organise events.
