The Young Americans are a group of 44 young people who tour schools and colleges all over the world, encouraging students like our own in dance, music and drama.
The Americans spent three days at Callington Community College at the end of February 2010. 109 children, from the College and its feeder Primary Schools, took part in workshops, and the project culminated in a spectacular show on the Saturday night, playing to a packed hall. Tears were shed by parents and staff as they watched their children perform.
During their visit, the Young Americans stayed in local homes. The College would like to thank everybody who took part - performers, College staff and parents - and especially Ms Debs Kemp, who organised the event. This project was a huge success.
