The students were accompanied by Mrs Cooper, Mr Stanley and Miss Moran.
The residential comprised two day training in camp; followed by two days on field exercise before ending with an endurance march for charity.
The students were involved in a range of activities over the course of the residential working towards achieving their Level 1 BTEC in Team Work and Personal Skills and a ‘HeartStart' first aid qualification.
Activities undertaken by the students included living on 24 hour ration packs, rock climbing, completing a low ropes course, signals and communication, archery, abseiling, command challenges and a night exercise.
A highlight for all was working with survival expert ‘Spanner' who taught us how to survive in the wild including being able to start a camp fire using a mobile phone battery and the multiple uses for everyday objects such as empty crisp packets!!
Despite the horrendous weather for the first few days of camp and some very early starts, the students were a credit to the College and all of their achievements are being celebrated later this month at an awards ceremony at the China Fleet Country Club, Saltash.
