Youth Speaks

For the first time in many years, Callington College entered a team in the Rotary Youth Speaks public speaking competition for young people.

The Youth Speaks competition, which was held on February 10th 2009 at Callington Community College, aims to develop students' confidence when addressing an audience.

In spite of having ony 2 weeks to prepare for the competition, and with only one full rehearsal, the Callington team came a very respectable 4th place with their speech on Obesity.

Congratulations to Kate Crowell, Dennis Marsh and Hywel Gregory, all year 12 students at the College.
