AS and A Level Results 2011

These exceptional results are a direct reflection on the hard work and dedication of the students, and outstanding teaching and pastoral care

  • Approximately one in four of all A level grades were A* or A
  • 99% of students achieved a pass grade
  • A* and A grades achieved by boys has risen from 17% to 22%
  • The QCA average points score for boys has also risen from 204 to 207
  • The pass rate for girls is again above the national average at 98.3%
  • The percentage of A*- B grades improved by a further 20% on the previous year

The QCA average point per student of 209 represents an excellent achievement by everyone. QCA total average points per entry also increased dramatically to 829.  The average total UCAS points per student has risen again this year to 329.

 

Headteacher, Gary Lobbett said: ‘I am delighted that our Sixth Form students have secured such high levels of success. I am very proud of our students and of the excellent teaching teams at the College. There are so many success stories here. My congratulations to all our outstanding young people who have met and surpassed their challenging personal targets at all levels. Callington enjoys a national reputation for excellence. Our students have committed themselves to their academic studies and have also contributed a great deal to the college and local community. I wish all our students every success as they progress further in their education or chosen careers'.
