Köln December 2008

In December 2008 a group of 40 students from Year 8 went to Cologne (Köln) in Germany. Four members of staff accompanied them: Ms Masters, Mr Dew and Mr Kerzerho, and PGCE student teacher Elisabeth Ellerman.

They visited the Christmas markets, sampled chocolate at the Chocolate Museum and enjoyed the city sights.  They visited the famous Cologne cathedral and took a festive boat trip on the river Rhine.

As well as an opportunity to practice their German language, this kind of visit encourages the students to experience other cultures and helps to develop their independence and confidence.

Oh yes, and they have a great time too!
