Destinations

Sixth Formers leaving Callington Community College follow a wide variety of destinations.

In 2011 once again Callington leavers are travelling far and wide.  Sixty three students are starting out on an exciting variety of courses at Universities and Colleges in England and Wales (none in Scotland this year).  From Art and Biology through to Textiles and Theology, from York in the north to Falmouth in the south, Callington students will be working hard and having fun, and making the College even prouder.

This year the most popular courses have been in the areas of Science and Maths (11) and PE/Sport (7).  Several students have opted to take a gap year, including some who have University placements for 2012.

Eleven students have found employment (two of these with training included), and two have started apprenticeships.  Nine will be continuing in the Sixth Form in Year 14, pursuing further studies to improve their prospects in 2012.

Whatever path our leavers have chosen, we wish them happiness and success in the years to come.
