Welcome to the Staff area...  This part of the website contains information of interest to current and future staff of Callington Community College.

About our Staff

Callington Community College staff number about 240 in total, including teaching and non-teaching staff.

Under the heading of Staff Lists (above) there is a list of our Leadership Team, a full alphabetical list of all Teaching Staff with all their responsibilities, and a list of Support Staff grouped by function.

Staff are also listed under their teaching departments in the Curriculum section of the website.

Heads of Year Groups etc are also listed in the Parents section of the website.

Parents wishing to email specific members of staff will find a full list of staff email addresses on our VLE Parents & Carers' Room. All students have a secure login to the VLE.  There is also a semi-secure Parents/Carers' username and password.  Parents/carers can obtain this by phoning the College, and it is occasionally printed in the College Newsletter.

From the link to the right, all current staff can log on to the College's Frog VLE.  Within the VLE there is a dedicated virtual staff room as well as departmental libraries and individual classrooms for each teaching group.

Teacher Training and Development

We are a Specialist Training School.  Training Schools act as experts in adult learning and the transfer of skills, and provide a venue for high quality professional development.  Read more about this on the Government's Standards Site.

Also located at Callington Community College is the headquarters of The Learning Institute, an innovative school-based training group situated in Cornwall and South Devon.  The Learning Institute offers Foundation degree and PGCE courses.
